• valid reason for late coming is revised. valid reason = compulsory activities, e.g. CIP(coming late due to projects are not considered as a valid reason, unless it's the teacher who made you stay back). and even with a valid reason, do inform Pearlyn(the secretary)beforehand - and give letter(s)to her if needed.
• the person in charge of all of the rooms' keys from last practice(30 July'08)will be Joyce(quarter/room master)from Violin2. kindly approach her if you would need the string room key during practice - however, please remember to lock the string room and return the keys to Joyce afterwards.
• everyone must pack up and re-arrange back all the furniture of the practice room(mostly music room)before they can be dismissed - offeneders9without a valid reason)will be punished.
• the songs we practiced during the last practice(30 July'08)are serenade and suite & light - those that didnt attend the practice session, kindly self-practice at home so as to catch up with the others that have already started.
• please self-practice at home till the next practice on this coming Monday(4 August'08).

• string is sharing a notice board with Guitar Ensemble(as shown in the 1st picture)
• all of string's members' names are on the notice board(look at picture 3)
• string's notice board is located in the canteen area(near the piano)
• things we have put up are names of teacher i/c, instructors, members, practice times, pictures of violin, viola, cello and double bass, string's blog address and some pictures of us taken during the concert(on 21 march '08).

new updates :

1. Wuhan exchange programme's performance will be on 28 July(Monday)(instead of the 24th)and, yes, we will be performing in front of the whole school, the attire will be school uniform(i will check with ms ong and ms luar if school t-shirts are allowed). more details to be confirmed later on.
   
2. tomorrow(11 July)'s 'school excursion' to PLMGS primary is compulsory, anyone unable to attend due to valid reasons, please kindly give a parents letter to ms ong or ms luar. transport will be provided by the school, duration : 2.15 - 6.15pm, meeting place : new canteen, attire : school based top(e.g. school blouse/shirt, PE t-shirt, class tee, camp tee, etc)and school shorts (for guys)(not PE shorts!)/school skirt(for girls) - no jeans, etc allowed. the consent form must be returned signed to ms ong or ms luar by tomorrow(11 July).
